With a view to developing tertiary students' visual and media literacy, the author will share her first-hand experiences in teaching Film Art, a popular General Education course that helps Hong Kong university students understand the visual culture, draw meanings from the film language, think critically about the connotations and messages conveyed, and create their own video essays.
