This session presents the results of a content analysis that explored design judgments made by instructors facilitating authentic learning experiences in instructional design courses. We employed a systematic review process of design cases that were previously published in the International Journal of Designs for Learning. The results of this study indicated that multiple judgments contribute to instructional decisions made by instructional design faculty. Recommendations will be made for supporting the facilitation of instructional design courses.
