This presentation offers a timely discussion about the ways that learning designers negotiate issues of social justice in their research and practice to improve student learning. The panel will consist of speakers who recently published in a special issue in JAID on this topic. As a panel, we will explore the ways social justice issues are taken up in our field and the methods associated with socio-cultural approaches to learning design.
