This research investigates the impact of using a virtual simulation learning platform to improve pre-service teachers’ learning transfer to classroom teaching. Kolb’s (1984) experiential learning theory combined with Ericsson’s (2007) deliberate practice were used as a theoretical framework to design a holistic virtual learning platform, where pre-service teachers engaged with synchronous virtual simulations and asynchronous skill development activities. Aspects of transferring learning to classroom teaching and impact on student learning are discussed.
