Instructional designers working in higher education may work with academic programs to help move traditional face-to-face courses into the online modality. In order to streamline processes and create consistency, a program-level Canvas template was created to be utilized in the program's courses. This study is an example of how templates can be leveraged in the online modality in ways that support theory. This poster will showcase elements used to address elements of cognitive load, consistency, and accessibility.
