Development models are employed to guide practice and make possible a more efficient approach to instructional design. With recent changes in online learning, there is a need for iterative approaches that decrease production time. In a previous study, the User Story Approximation Model (USAM) was introduced for this purpose. In this study, we use an established method, a usability test, to internally validate the model. Features, implications, and changes of the model are discussed.
