A popular solution for loss-of-learning is online tutoring. While online tutoring has existed for decades, research about it has not. In this study, we compared a higher education model to K-12 and earlier “findings”. The results of this study address similarities and differences at various grade band levels — K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Recommendations are made for those looking to better understand the best practices of effective online tutoring for learners across developmental stages.
