Short Description

Prior research has highlighted the importance of the practices of dissertation chairs to doctoral candidates’ progress and completion of doctoral dissertations in the online environment. In this study, 63 faculty completed a survey about the strategies that they found most helpful in the e-mentoring of doctoral dissertations. Strategies related to Communications, Research Process, Student Support, and Institutional Support that were most helpful to students’ dissertations progress will be discussed.
