Accessibility Experiences in Education from Diverse Perspectives

Wed, Oct 26, 2:40 to 3:35pm PDT (2:40 to 3:35pm PDT), Conf Center, Melrose 4

Short Description

Accessibility within education is often discussed in terms of compliance. While important, the lived experience and perspectives of students, faculty, instructional designers, and leadership are often overlooked. This panel will feature five instructional design practitioners who center accessibility in their work through various diverse roles. Focusing on student learning, our panel will discuss how they have navigated accessibility and disability as students, staff, and leaders to positively impact and recenter student learning.
