Short Description

Unlike LGBTQ+ student advocacy efforts that were historically led by those who challenged the status quo and worked against university structures, institutional DEI initiatives now task leaders with determining the most effective ways to support both the academic success and overall well-being of queer students (Lee, 2021; Pryor & Hoffman, 2021). In this session, I present findings from an exploratory study of LGBTQ+ student support and leadership practices at public universities in the Southeastern US.
