Short Description

In this exploratory study, the purpose was to investigate how preservice teachers develop technology integration knowledge during a standalone educational technology course. The participants were 123 preservice teachers who were enrolled in an Introduction to Educational Technology course. The results can inform teacher education faculty of the strengths and weaknesses of standalone educational technology courses in developing preservice teachers’ problem-solving skills related to technology integration. Specific recommendations for teacher education programs will be addressed.
