What are the most recent research trends on learning analytics research in the educational technology research community? Using a framework developed based on the four types of analytics (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive), the current study systematically reviews the articles about learning analytics published in the journal, Educational Technology Research and Development during the last five years to identify the most recent trends and issues on learning analytics research in the educational technology research community.
