Wed, Oct 26, 11:30am to 12:25pm PDT (11:30am to 12:25pm PDT), Conf Center, Celebrity 4

Short Description

Instructors and students in higher education were forced to adopt online learning and teaching due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During the emergent transition, instructors encountered challenges of student-centered online instruction, such as selecting appropriate interventions to engage students at different participation levels. This study focuses on 1) online instructors’ perceptions of students’ active and passive participation; 2) instructors’ beliefs about learner-centeredness; and 3) selection of effective teaching strategies to foster students’ engagement in online learning.
