Short Description

Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) programs at universities, and industry mentoring programs, often have difficulties evaluating and assuring quality student experiences. Results from two universities in 2022 indicate that a weekly reflection survey and dashboard (built in R-Shiny) can raise the visibility of issues, and have the potential to improve mentoring and outcomes. A weekly dashboard has proven useful for evaluation, suggesting we can learn from this approach.
