Computer-Based Instruction, Interactive Distance Education, and New Media: Educational Technology 1975-1999

Tue, Oct 25, 11:30am to 12:25pm PDT (11:30am to 12:25pm PDT), Conf Center, Melrose 4

Short Description

The story of AECT began in 1923 with the creation of the National Education Association’s Department of Visual Instruction. What started as a small group of passionate educators searching for better ways to help people learn has turned into an international association representing a broad range of professionals interested in improving learning using media and technology. This session will present key historical elements from the third 25 years of AECT (mid 1970s to late 1990s).
