Implementing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Strategies in an Asynchronous Online Course: A Case Study

This session will describe the implementation of UDL principles in an undergraduate asynchronous online course at a mid-size public university in spring 2023. The session will describe the approach used to analyze the existing course template and identify opportunities for adding UDL components. The presenter will show examples of the changes made to the course, including the syllabus, the discussion board forums, and the course modules. Implications of the UDL implementation will also be discussed.
