Unpacking the Sociocultural, Technological, and Pedagogical Considerations of Spherical Video-based Virtual Reality Systems for Autistic Learners: A Systematic Literature Review

Mon, Oct 16, 1:30 to 2:20pm EDT (1:30 to 2:20pm EDT), Doubletree Main Conference Center - Seminole, Seminole E and D

Short Description

This session will present findings from a systematic literature review focusing on the topic of 360-degree video-based virtual reality designed for training and therapy with autistic participants. Specifically, this research applies Jahnke et al.’s sociotechnical-pedagogical usability framework for investigating the learner experience of designed interventions. This work provides much needed insight into design principles for this emerging technology.
