This research study explores how instructors use newly developed, technology-enabled spaces in colleges for implementing active learning in classrooms. Findings indicate different levels of student engagement and instructor implementation of active learning in the technology-enhanced physical space. This study highlights a need for a pedagogical process to balance the use of personal technology of students and classroom-integrated technology for a more effective learning experience.
