Impact of the metaverse on learning outcomes and experiences: Evidence from an experimental study

Short Description

To understand the educational influence of using metaverse in classrooms, this study an undergraduate class in the Virbela metaverse platform was designed and a quasi-experiment was conducted to investigate the impact of the metaverse on learning outcomes and experiences. The empirical results revealed that metaverse learning environment could improve students’ learning experiences but not learning outcomes. Research findings can contribute to guiding educators in designing an effective educational metaverse.
