This session reports the findings of a study conducted on makerspaces and design studios across one large state university system in the United States. The study informs how makerspaces and design studios are supporting divergent aims of innovation from the design of products to support for new processes and positions. The study also informs how these spaces are themselves a type of innovation capable of boosting student transformation and extending traditional learning cycles.
