Short Description

To investigate how the South American MOOC instructors view their roles in helping students develop SDL skills and how they design MOOCs to foster students’ SDL, the researchers applied explanatory sequential mixed methods involving quantitative data collection and analysis followed by qualitative methods through an online survey, in-depth semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. The findings are expected to impact on the design and delivery of courses that affect millions of students in practice.
