The pandemic generated online learning environments populated by texts and visuals. In a graduate-level class, the teacher-researcher asked students to respond to prompts as part of a journal writing activity. Students identified and shared images found online and discussed alignment to visual elements and principles. The presentation explores the connection between the changing online visual landscape and demonstrating knowledge about visual literacy.
