Inclusion of culturally relevant design makes learning more engaging and relevant, while also supporting meaningful learning outcomes (Ladson-Billings, 1995). A 3D virtual learning museum exhibit was designed using three ID models: Carliner’s (1998) model of exhibit design, Young’s (2008) culture based model, and Huang’s et al. (2021) CATLM-VR, to showcase the importance of culturally relevant design. This session will showcase the exhibit, design and development, use of models, and artifacts collected during implementation with learners.
