The proposed session re-convenes a panel discussion originally held ten years ago at the 2013 AECT Convention. The purpose is to note explosive recent developments in how theorists and practitioners conceive the idea of instructional message, its design, and its delivery in media form. Recent developments in artificial intelligence and generative media creation threaten to overturn former conceptions of message design. Therefore, discussions toward new ways of designing and representing message are of great importance.
