Mon, Oct 16, 2:30 to 3:20pm EDT (2:30 to 3:20pm EDT), Doubletree Main Conference Center - Seminole, Space Coast I

Short Description

This study explores the problem-solving approach used by computing professionals through the Design Thinking lens based on interviews with 31 professionals in computing-related roles. Although participants did not mention the term Design Thinking, they described activities aligning with each of the six phases of the Design Thinking framework (Empathizing, Understanding the Problem, Brainstorming, Implementation. Design & Development, and Testing). The Implications for educators who teach problem-solving in design fields will be discussed.
