The integration of both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis has been regarded as the centrality and added-value of mixed methods research (MMR). Given the limited guidance on how to conduct quality MMR in instructional technology, a systematic review aimed to investigate the integration strategies used in MMR published from 2012 to 2021 in three top instructional technology journals. The findings will benefit researchers who will conduct MMR in the field of instructional technology.
