This session explores the phenomenon of in-video dropout in online lecture videos and identifies factors that lead to student disengagement. Using quantitative and qualitative methods, we will uncover insights into student behavior, including interaction patterns, dropout points, and engagement time. Our findings will provide recommendations for improving online lecture videos, enhancing student engagement, and ultimately, improving learning outcomes. Attendees will gain valuable insights into how to keep students engaged in online learning environments, enhancing the effectiveness of their instructional videos.
