Short Description

This poster presentation discusses the findings of a study conducted to examine the partnerships that form between instructors and tutors in embedded tutoring programs. Using a grounded theory methodology, 39 partnerships were studied to understand the roles of tutors and instructors and what interrelationships patterns form due to these partnerships. Findings indicate a need to establish clear roles, navigate power dynamics through negotiation, and provide mentorship opportunities through cognitive apprenticeships.
