Despite its role for expanding equity in higher education, the presence of historically marginalized groups within OER continues to mirror traditional textbooks by underrepresenting their presence in the greater narrative of American culture. Thusly, the proposed research seeks to discover how much representation these populations receive in academic discussions within open content and what steps instructors are taking to ensure that diverse views are being represented within their classrooms.
