In this session, participants and panelists will reflect on our shared history from 2000 to today. Topics that have been important to this field during the last two decades include Web 2.0, OER, learning management systems, design thinking, universal design for learning, personalization, mobile learning, and emergency remote teaching. This historical overview will attempt to give perspective and understanding of where we have been, where we are heading, and how we are defining the field of learning design and technology.
