Exploring Virtual Field Trips to Support Linguistically Diverse Learners

Short Description

This presentation discusses ways to implement virtual field trips (VFTs) in supporting linguistically diverse students with varying linguistic abilities in K-12 and post-secondary settings. The presenters will discuss the affordances of VFTs based on the level of immersiveness, as well as design considerations of incorporating VFTs for linguistically-diverse learners in different subjects and settings. Different types of virtual reality devices will be shared with session attendees to allow hands-on exploration of the VFT content.
