The Prevalence of Help-Seeking in Instructional Design Practice in Higher Education

Tue, Oct 17, 2:30 to 3:20pm EDT (2:30 to 3:20pm EDT), Doubletree Main Conference Center - Seminole, Sun & Surf V

Short Description

A core job responsibility for instructional designers working in higher education is to support faculty and student learning. To become effective help givers, instructional designers should incorporate help-seeking as their current pool of competencies. This session presents findings of a study surveying the literature on the knowledge, skills, and attitudes expected as instructional designers as they relate to supporting help-seeking throughout the instructional design process.
