Short Description

This interdisciplinary panel consists of five (5) U.S. researchers from four institutions, who bring expertise from learning design, teacher education, language learning, engineering and construction management, and extended reality (XR) design. The panel will lead the discussion on the principles of cultivating cultural responsiveness in teaching and learning, affordances of Virtual Immersive Learning environments, and considerations when designing XR activities to address learning outcomes and needs of culturally and linguistically diverse students.
