This study aims to determine the relationship, if any, between middle school students’ Incidental Information Literacy (Incidental-IL) and the following constructs: skepticism, curiosity, persistence, metacognition, and to gather qualitative data on the ways, if any, that students who perform well on an assessment of Incidental-IL exhibit skepticism, curiosity, persistence, and/or metacognition when evaluating information on social media.
