Active classroom participation is crucial for academic success, but some students may hesitate to participate. Social learning platforms encourage participation in non-intimidating environments. A study of undergraduate physics and chemistry courses found that the platform improved satisfaction, question competency, participation, and self-efficacy. Anonymity and external resources were positive factors. Social learning platforms improve engagement and outcomes, making them valuable for enhancing communication with students.
