Short Description

The empirical study investigates the learning engagement of secondary-school students in AI pad-based adaptive learning environments, and based on self-determination theory and technology acceptance model, constructs a model of the factors influencing the learning engagement. 302 students use the AI learning pad in one semester. Quantitative and qualitative mixed methods are used. The results discuss the factors influencing the learning engagement, propose strategies for improving the learning engagement, and provide suggestions for developers.
