To support elementary school students’ development in computational thinking and STEM, a free robotics program has been developed and implemented at a public university. In this presentation, we report a design-based research study of the robotics program, focusing on its second and third iterations. We explain how we test and refine the design principles and how the program evolves through the iterative design process. Implications for robotics program design and future research are discussed.
