This study examined the effect of the conversation of an avatar with facial expression recognition AI on persona perception and emotions. A total of 33 people participated in the AI avatar conversations with two different themes. The repeated MANOVA measure analysis showed that participants perceived more engagement(F(1,32) = 5.31, p<.05.), positive emotion(F(1,32) = 10.74, p<.05.) and valence(F(1,32)=12.46, p<.05) on travel talk than on judicial homicide.
