Returning in person after being forced online: Observation and reflections for a youth maker group

Observations and findings reported from six years as an embedded researcher within a summer youth maker group. Due to the pandemic, our group met online during summer 2020 and 2021. Being forced online led to some reactive designs and staying online allowed more proactive designs. Returning to in person, 2022 found us getting back to basics. Foci of this presentation: mentor characteristics, adjustments to being back in person, and changes in how meetings occurred.
