Short Description

While AECT has been the premiere organization for 100 years for research related to instructional design and technology, members with alt-academic careers may struggle to find their place within the organization. In this panel, mid-career professionals with alt-academic careers will discuss 1) The benefits and challenges of an alt-academic position, 2) how individuals in alt-academic positions can still find opportunities to connect to research, and 3) ideas for how AECT can better support alt-academic individuals.
