The number of practitioner-focused online doctoral programs in educational technology has increased in recent years. Dissertations conducted by doctoral students in these programs explore research questions that address problems of practice, offering possibilities to create the missing connection between practice and research. This presentation will discuss the trends and patterns in dissertations produced by students who completed a fully online Ed.D. degree. Examples from student dissertations will be shared throughout the presentation.
