Implementing Personalized Collaborative Student-Driven Projects In a Korean Learner-Centered Middle School

Mon, Oct 16, 11:00 to 11:50am EDT (11:00 to 11:50am EDT), Doubletree Main Conference Center - Seminole, Gold Coast IV

Short Description

Personalized learning has been internationally promoted to prepare a future workforce (OECD, 2018). Despite the growing interest, there is limited research on how to practice it and whether it is effective in nurturing essential skills like complex problem-solving. In this mixed-methods case study, we closely observed how a personalized, collaborative student-driven project was designed and implemented, and we investigated what competencies were developed through the project in a learner-centered middle school in South Korea.
