In this phenomenological study, we explore the development of a personalized and learner-adaptive task planner for a game-based architectural mathematics learning platform. The researchers created content for a task planner that scaffolds students' math problem-solving skills and models structuring of ill-structured math problems in a virtual 3D setting. The researchers developed the task planner designs in conjunction with a diverse, multidisciplinary development team, involved programmers in discussion, and harnessed various collaborative synchronous, asynchronous online tools.
