Short Description

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a teaching and learning framework developed to promote accessibility through principles focused on multiple means of representation, engagement, and expression. Emerging research suggests that through its promotion of accessible learning content and environments, UDL can serve the needs of linguistically and culturally diverse learners. Case studies suggest teachers in developing countries employ UDL principles despite being unfamiliar with the pedagogical framework, and UDL can be implemented in low-technology environments.
