This exploratory case study investigated the determinants for lack of space within Nigerian Universities to admit all qualified secondary school graduates into higher education and explore the possibility of using virtual technology-based distance learning as a solution. The purpose of was to explore the possibility of VTBDE as a strategy to decrease the lack of access to higher education for Nigerian secondary school graduates. This study is for researchers, practitioners and policy makers in Nigeria.
