Short Description

Needs analysis is the starting point of all performance improvement. Within the realm of employee training and development, it determines workers’ current skill levels and the critical skill and knowledge areas requiring improvement for optimal employee performance. However, needs — especially learning needs — continually evolve, which is a necessary consideration for all employee development programs. This session explores the importance of ongoing needs analysis, providing a real-life example through the lens of higher education faculty development.
