This proposal discusses preservice teachers’ constructivist and ethical beliefs and how these beliefs impact their teaching styles. A scoping review of the literature produced discussion points which showed how policies, curriculums, and examinations hinder constructivist practices and how teachers’ training can improve constructivist practices. These discussions formed recommendations which can provide a platform to focus on highlighting the belief systems of preservice teachers concerning their classroom environments.
