This study explored the mediating effect of autonomous motivation and online learning self-efficacy between personality trait conscientiousness and academic procrastination. The results showed that conscientiousness could predict academic procrastination through the effect of online learning self-efficacy. Conscientiousness could also predict academic procrastination through the effects of autonomous motivation and online learning self-efficacy. By revealing the underlying mechanism between conscientiousness and academic procrastination, the current study aims to provide insights for researchers and educators.
