Higher Education Scholars’ Identity Development through Twitter: A Systematic Literature Review

Short Description

This systematic literature review study aims to address a gap observed in the literature regarding the impact of Twitter on higher education academics’ identity development. This paper utilized the PRISMA statement to inform the process of the selection of publications for review. Using the Identity Trajectories framework, 27 articles published between 2010 and 2023 were examined. Findings are reported using the three strands of the identity trajectory framework: 1) networking, 2) intellectual, and 3) institutional.
