Procrastination in Online Learning: the Moderating Role of Online Learning Self-efficacy

Short Description

This study intends to investigate the influencing mechanism of academic procrastination in online class. We found autonomous motivation played an important role in predicting students’ academic procrastination. We also found online learning self-efficacy could moderate the relationship between autonomous motivation and academic procrastination when online self-efficacy is one standard deviation above its mean. Johnson-Neyman plot indicates online learning self-efficacy has a moderating effect when it’s not within high, average, and low conditions.
